NanoCluster for Information Technology in Northrhine-Westfalia
The NRW-NanoCluster for IT was founded in 2003 as the first pillar of the NRW-NanoCluster based on the following 3 pillars:
- Nanotechnology for Information Technology
Co-ordination: Aachen - Nanobiotechnology
Co-ordination: Münster - Nanotechnology for Power Engineering
Co-ordination: Duisburg/Essen
Mission
The intention of the NRW-NanoCluster for Information Technology is the bundling of research and development activities at university and non-university institutions to support application potentials in the area of Nanotechnology for Information Technology. This goal is supported by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology of the State Northrhine-Westfaliaof through the establishment of a separate office.
