Successful Kick-Off of Horizon 2020
On January 28th and 29th 2014 the national kick-off event of the BMBF for Horizon 2020, the actual framework program of the European Union, took place in the Berlin Congress Center (BCC).
At this event, AMO GmbH presented an exhibition of the FET Flagship project Graphene.
The Flagship Project Graphene, one of the two Flagship projects in Europe – having a total duration of ten years and a volume of 1 billion Euros – launched in October 2013 with the goal to bring graphene from the research lab to applications. From the very beginnning, the AMO GmbH was significantly involved in the realization of this project and is leading the work package on high-frequency electronics.
Our interactive exhibition received much attention and offered the opportunity to learn about graphene in all its facets.
Additionally, the exhibition was well received by the present politicians: Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister for Education and Research, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, and Prof. Dr. Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, President of the European Research Council, informed themselves at the Graphene exhibition on the current progress of the project.
