Pioneering 2D materials for semiconductor industry – the 2D-Experimental Pilot Line presents itself

In October 2020, the European Commission launched the 2D-Experimental Pilot Line (2D-EPL), a new €20 million project aimed at developing the first pilot line to manufacture large volumes of electronic components based on graphene and related 2D materials. AMO GmbH is one of the partners of the project, together with Aixtron Ltd. and Oxford Instruments […]

MISEL: a new EU-project for developing an intelligent camera-sensor technology

AMO GmbH is partner of MISEL (Multispectral Intelligent Vision System with Embedded Low-Power Neural Computing), a project that aims at developing a bio-inspired vision system able to implement advanced recognition tasks, but with much smaller size, weight and power consumption than off-the-shelf components. The project is funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 […]

2021 starts with five new European Projects

In January 2021, AMO GmbH has launched five new projects funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. Their acronyms are Aeolus, MISEL, Graced, GreEnergy and 2Exciting, and their topics range from neuromorphic computing, to energy harvesting, to innovative photonic components for air-sensing and food-quality monitoring.
