Project Update: NEPOMUQ Meeting at AMO GmbH

AMO GmbH recently hosted a project meeting as part of the NEPOMUQ research initiative – a promising collaboration with Bergische Universität Wuppertal (BUW). The project focuses on developing novel optoelectronic modulators based on nonlinear optical perovskites.

BUW has established a spatially resolved detection system for second harmonic generation (SHG), which is now ready for initial testing. This setup marks an important step toward characterizing the nonlinear optical properties of emerging perovskite materials. In parallel, AMO GmbH has fabricated the first wafers for perovskite integration, laying the foundation for subsequent testing and future implementation in functional devices.

Although no published results are available yet, both project partners are highly motivated and optimistic about the ongoing development. The interdisciplinary collaboration between material synthesis, advanced measurement techniques, and device integration is steadily taking shape and paving the way for innovative solutions in integrated photonics.

NEPOMUQ exemplifies the exploration of new materials and their application in optoelectronic integration. Further updates and results will follow.
