2D-PL Multi-Project Wafer Run at AMO – registration is open

28. November 2025

The registration for the next Multi Project Wafer run within the 2D Pilot Line is now open. This upcoming run is dedicated to electronic devices, with the possibility to integrate sensor functionalities—such as Hall sensors—within the supported process flow.

The 2D Pilot Line (2D-PL) is a European initiative aimed at accelerating the transition of 2D-material-based technologies from research to scalable manufacturing. The Multi Project Wafer (MPW) runs enables companies, startups, and research groups to prototype their device concepts on shared wafers, drastically reducing cost and development time.

For this MPW, AMO offers a Graphene Field-Effect Transistor (GFET) as the standardized base design. The platform features:

  • Local back gate
  • Bottom-contact architecture
  • Design flexibility within defined specifications

Participants can adapt the GFET layout to their specific application needs, provided the modifications remain compatible with the overall process module.

More information can be found in this factsheet.

How to Participate

Interested parties are invited to contact AMO using this form, to receive for the full design kit, specifications, timelines, and submission guidelines.

Why Join the MPW Run?

  • Cost-efficient access to advanced graphene technology
  • Shared wafer runs that minimize risk and accelerate development
  • Industrial-grade processing aligned with the 2D-PL vision
  • Customizable layouts guided by clear design specifications
  • Direct interaction with AMO’s engineering and design support teams
