AMO at the RWTH Tech Impact Festival 2026
Last week, AMO took part in the RWTH Tech Impact Festival in Aachen, a lively event that brought together around 1,500 registered participants from science, industry, start‑ups and public institutions. The central theme of the festival was how deep‑tech innovation and technology transfer can be accelerated and strengthened.
A special highlight for us was hosting a cleanroom tour for twelve festival guests. Participants received exclusive insights into AMO’s micro‑ and nanofabrication technologies and experienced the environment in which our advanced devices are created. A big thank‑you goes to Bárbara Canto and Stefanie Stoll, who guided the tours and represented AMO so excellently.
Our CEO, Prof. Max Lemme, was also part of the festival program. In his introduction to the panel “Aachen Semiconductor Initiative for North Rhine‑Westphalia,” he emphasized the importance of regional collaboration for building a strong semiconductor ecosystem in NRW. Moderated by Christian Temath (KI.NRW), the panel brought together representatives from academia, industry and policy to discuss shared opportunities and future initiatives.
We would like to thank RWTH Innovation and all partners for creating such an inspiring atmosphere and for the excellent organization. The festival once again demonstrated the great potential that lies in connecting the region’s high‑tech stakeholders. We look forward to the ideas and collaborations that will grow out of these encounters.
