RWTH Masterclass Visit at AMO
As part of the RWTH Masterclass in Aachen, early career researchers from international backgrounds visit selected research institutions to gain insights into current developments and practices in applied research. One element of this program included a visit to AMO GmbH.
During their stay, the participants were given a guided tour of AMO’s research and laboratory facilities, including its technical infrastructure and selected equipment. The visit provided an overview of key research areas in micro and nanoelectronics, as well as ongoing projects and methodologies.
A particular focus was placed on the exchange with AMO scientists. In discussions with researchers from different fields, connections between the participants’ individual research topics and the work at AMO were explored. This interdisciplinary dialogue enabled the identification of overlaps between different material systems and application areas, offering new perspectives for the participants’ own research.
The visit highlighted AMO’s role as a research partner that not only provides technological expertise but also actively contributes to scientific exchange and the development of early career researchers. At the same time, it offered the RWTH Masterclass participants the opportunity to gain practical insights into current advancements in micro and nanotechnology.
Overall, the visit represented a valuable part of the program and emphasized the importance of dialogue between academic education, international research, and application oriented development.
