AMO at the E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting in Warsaw
From 14 to 18 September 2026, the E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting at the Warsaw University of Technology brought together researchers from around the world to discuss current developments in materials science. AMO and the Chair of Electronic Devices (ELD) at RWTH Aachen University contributed to the conference with recent work in perovskite research.
The conference addressed key challenges and emerging approaches in perovskite research, including improving material stability, advanced deposition techniques, novel material structures, and the use of machine learning to optimize fabrication processes.
PhD researchers Sana Khan and Liudmila Starodubtceva presented recent research results from AMO and ELD. Sana Khan shared her work on perovskite graphene hybrid UV photodetectors, exploring the potential of hybrid material systems for future optoelectronic applications.
Liudmila Starodubtceva presented her research on enhancing heat dissipation in perovskite thin films, recently published in Materials Advances. Improved thermal management can play an important role in increasing the stability and reliability of perovskite based devices.
Beyond the contributions from AMO and ELD, the E-MRS Fall Meeting provided valuable insights into current international research activities. Discussions highlighted the wide range of approaches being explored to develop more stable, efficient, and reliable perovskite materials and devices.
The conference also provided an opportunity to strengthen existing scientific connections, including an exchange with Kai Oliver Brinkmann from the University of Wuppertal, a collaboration partner from the completed FOXES project.
For AMO, the E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting was a valuable platform to present current research to an international scientific audience, gain new perspectives, and further strengthen scientific exchange.
