New results on Graphene Nanoribbons are presented in the paper “Field-Effect Transistors Based on Networks of Highly Aligned, Chemically Synthesized N = 7 Armchair Graphene Nanoribbons”, a collaboration between AMO, RWTH Aachen University, University of Cologne and UC Berkeley. AMO was part of the EU Graphene Flagship delegation at the Tallinn Digital Summit on September 29, 2017, where research results and key technological advances enabled by graphene and related materials were explained to European Heads of State and Government.
Using CMOS-compatible techniques, Flagship researchers from AMO have created photodetectors with a record-breaking bandwidth of 76 GHz, ideal for fast data communications.
