Prof. Max Lemme named RWTH Fellow

On Friday, January 26, 2024, the Rector’s Office at RWTH named two new RWTH Fellows: Prof. Max C. Lemme, head of the Chair of Electronic Devices (ELD) and CEO of AMO GmbH, and Prof. Harald Müller, head of the Department of Medieval History.

With this title, RWTH honors professors who have distinguished themselves in research and have rendered outstanding services to the University. The award was introduced in 2013 as part of Germany’s Excellence Initiative. Nominations for the award are made by the deans of the faculties.

Prof. Müller is an internationally renowned expert in the field of papacy in the high middle age. Prof. Lemme is leading scientist in the field of devices based on 2D materials as well as the spokesperson of the Cluster NeuroSys – Neuromorphic Computing for Autonomous Artificial Intelligence Systems, which is part of the Clusters4Future initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
